Environmental Impact

Participating in the CLS Program gives students first-hand insight into how their host community views the environment, conservation, and other issues. If participants are interested in learning more about host community views on the environment, they are encouraged to observe how their host community interacts with the environment and to discuss these interactions with their host families, Language Partner(s), and other members of their host community. Reflecting on observations and conversations in country can provide insight into different approaches to sustainability, different relationships human beings can have with the environment, and different ways of thinking about and viewing these issues.
