Announcing the 2022 CLS Program Awards

The CLS Program is pleased to announce the results of its 2022 summer competition. We applaud all applicants for the 2022 CLS Program for their commitment to language learning and congratulate the finalists and alternates selected from this impressive pool of students.

Finalists for the 2022 CLS Program were selected from a diverse pool of over 4,500 applicants, representing all fifty states, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico. Applicants represented 583 different higher education institutions across the country, including 137 Minority-serving Institutions, 14 Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and 64 community colleges.

The CLS Program is proud that our finalists represent the same level of diversity as our applicants, representing all fifty states, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico, and 228 different higher education institutions.

Due to the current health and safety situation, some CLS institutes for summer 2022 will be offered as virtual programs while others will be offered through programming abroad. Finalists will receive more information about placement in their notification messages.
