Long-Term Impact

Every three years, the CLS Program conducts a long-term impact survey of its alumni to gain insight into the influences that participation in the program has had on their personal, academic, and professional lives thus far. In the fall of 2019, American Councils for International Education administered the 2019 Long-Term Impact Survey as an online survey to all 6,269 alumni of the CLS Program who participated from 2006 to 2018.

The survey captured responses of a few 2019 alumni, as it was open after the 2019 program ended, but these students were not the primary target of this study, although they were not excluded from the data. In total, 1,129 respondents completed the survey, representing 18% of targeted alumni.
