Quinn Hartleroad of Wood County is one of seven West Virginia University students who have been awarded the Boren Scholarship. Hartleroad, a senior international studies major, is a former Critical Language Scholarship recipient.

UIC Students Win State Department Scholarships

Awarded from the department's Critical Languages Scholarship program, the competitive study abroad award will place Josephine Chaet, of Chicago (Portage Park/Irving Park); Maria Folvarska, of Itasca, Illinois; and Amreen Matharu, of Vernon Hills, Illinois, in a fully funded eight-week language program that includes cultural enrichment experiences.
