The CLS Program is pleased to announce CLS Refresh, a new language learning opportunity for CLS alumni. To support alumni in their continued commitment to critical languages, individualized virtual language instruction will be offered for approximately 220 CLS alumni beginning in October 2021, at no cost to CLS alumni.
Virtual instruction will be provided by CLS Program partner institutes from October 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022. Alumni will participate in one to four hours per week of tutoring for six to sixteen weeks according to alumni and institute schedules, for up to 40 hours total. All alumni of the CLS Program in good standing are eligible to apply for this opportunity, including those not located in the United States. Alumni who would like to participate must submit applications, articulating a proposed course of study (approximate number of hours per week and length of engagement) as well as describing their motivations for participation and how they have been using their CLS language since the conclusion of their program.
The application deadline is September 1, 2021 at 11:59pm EDT. Selected alumni will be notified of their acceptance in mid-September and asked to work with their assigned host institute and the Program Coordinator to finalize a schedule for instruction by October 5, 2021.
