Attention, CLS alumni! With the 10th anniversary of the CLS program coming up, we are pleased to announce an anniversary alumni photo contest. This contest is open to all CLS program alumni so that we can capture the program in photographs from its inception in 2006.
Submissions will be accepted from August 20th to September 25th. Submissions should fall under one of four categories:
- Participant Life Abroad: Experiencing the host culture through food transportation, festivities, customs, etc.
- CLS Community: Interactions with CLS peers, language partners, teachers, and host families.
- Language Learning in Action: Learning in the classroom, studying with language partners, and talking to locals.
- Outdoor Exploration: Getting out in your city and country.
Winners will be selected by staff of the CLS Program at American Councils for International Education and the U.S. Department of State. The selected photos will be used in a 10th anniversary CLS calendar, to be distributed to the larger CLS community.
Selection criteria include appropriateness of presentation, including viewability by a wide publication audience, clarity, visual impact, content/composition, and technical quality. Photos must be high quality JPEGs and may not exceed 10MB in size.
