Yarí Santana

Yarí Santana participated in the 2026 CLS Japanese Program hosted by Okayama University in Okayama, Japan, and the 2025 CLS Spark Japanese virtual initiative hosted by LTL Language Education in Tokyo, Japan. Yarí is pursuing a B.A. in Design with a concentration in Industrial Design at Ana G. Méndez University in Puerto Rico. Her career goal is to establish a multidisciplinary design firm that sources materials and manufactures in the United States and Japan while promoting cross-cultural exchange. She hopes to integrate cultural and architectural influences from Puerto Rico, Japan, and the United States into contemporary design.

"The intensive nature of the CLS program is an unparalleled opportunity to put to the test and improve essential life skills, such as time and stress management, problem solving and teamwork. Not only did I realize I could handle more than I expected during the program, but I exponentially improved after finishing it. This not only benefits the personal aspect of my life, but the professional one as well."
