Tuesday Barnes participated in the 2025 CLS Swahili Program hosted by the MS-Training Centre for Development Cooperation in Arusha, Tanzania. Tuesday is pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Sociology and Social Justice with a concentration in Community Development and Social Change. Her research interests include social psychology, race, and self-worth, and her dissertation is a comparative analysis of South Africa and the United States. Tuesday has been accepted to conduct research at Stellenbosch University in South Africa from January through June 2027 and hopes to become a tenured professor leading her own research lab.
