Winn Alexander

Winn Alexander participated in the 2026 CLS Korean Program and the 2025 CLS Spark Korean virtual initiative, both hosted by Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea. Winn is pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Physics at Henderson State University, with a minor in Digital Media Production. Following graduation, she hopes to pursue graduate study in nuclear engineering or physics in Korea before beginning a career in nuclear power. She aims to strengthen international scientific relationships and contribute to initiatives that promote greater understanding of nuclear science.

"Coming from a rural area and attending a small school, opportunities to seriously study languages or experience other cultures were limited. CLS gave me that opportunity. It gave me the chance to immerse myself in a language in a way I never thought would be possible, and it helped me realize that students from small towns belong in global spaces too. Beyond improving my language skills, CLS gave me confidence in myself and my ability to connect with people from different backgrounds."
