"CLS was a turning point in my language journey because it turned my academic foundation into real communicative confidence. At Yale, I had already some Bahasa Indonesia classes, but CLS pushed me into the kind of immersive, relational fluency that only comes from speaking the language every day. The program gave me the tools, community, and courage to stop translating in my head and start genuinely connecting with people."
