+ updated resources for advisors!

Dear CLS Advisors,

We are excited to announce that the application for the 2023 Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program will open Wednesday, October 5! We welcome your students to apply now to learn a critical foreign language next summer on a fully-funded study abroad program.

The application will be live and available online: https://clscholarship.org/apply

Applications are due Tuesday, November 15, 2022 by 8:00 PM EST / 5 PM PST.

Resources for advisors are available on our website (https://clscholarship.org/advisors/advisor-resources) and include the following materials. New email templates for outreach to students and campus stakeholders will be added shortly.

The 2023 CLS Program and application has a number of small but important changes. Last week, we hosted a webinar for advisors covering these updates. A recording of that webinar is available on our YouTube channel.

The CLS Program will host frequent webinars, Q&A sessions, and alumni panels for students and advisors over the coming weeks. We encourage advisors to share these opportunities with their students. By providing frequent webinars, we hope to accommodate a variety of campus and individual student schedules. A full calendar of events these events and corresponding registration links is available on our website: https://clscholarship.org/events.

As always, we thank you for your support of the CLS Program and for your effort to share this information with your campus communities.

Sincerely,

Caitlin Ting
