Dear CLS Advisor,

We are pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Defense are offering an exciting new webinar series on careers in areas and regions outlined in President Biden's National Security Strategy, featuring Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) and Boren Alumni.  Throughout this fall and winter, prospective applicants, advisors, and alumni are invited to join four sessions to learn more about career pathways in areas and regions relevant to the National Security Strategy, the CLS and Boren programs, and engage with program alumni.

The first session, Working in Diplomacy and Defense, will kick off tomorrow, Wednesday, September 13 at 6 pm ET on Zoom.

The virtual event will include the following:

  • Introductory remarks from U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Defense officials
  • Brief overview of the National Security Strategy
  • Alumni panel featuring CLS and Boren program alumni working in diplomacy and defense
  • Open question and answer session with the audience

Advanced registration is required. While we hope to accommodate everyone who is interested in attending this webinar, registration will be limited to the first 500 registrants.
