Good morning, CLS Advisors!

We hope that everyone has been enjoying the summer months. Today are pleased to announce two upcoming advisor-only webinars for the month of August!

On Wednesday, August 2 at 3:30 PM Eastern, we will host a selection criteria webinar. Attendees will hear from Caitlin Ting, the CLS Assistant Manager, Outreach and Selection, and Kaveri Advani, Program Officer for the CLS Program from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, about the selection criteria used by the CLS Program in its overseas program and virtual initiative. Advisors will also hear from an experienced CLS advisor about they how have approached advising students on the CLS Program selection criteria. Please register in advance.

Two weeks later, on Wednesday, August 16 at 3:30 PM, we will host a new advisor webinar. Cybèle Cochran, Outreach Officer for the USA Study Abroad Branch of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, will join Caitlin Ting for this presentation. Together they will provide an overview of the CLS Program and the CLS advisor role for those getting acquainted with CLS or for anyone who would benefit from a refresher. Advisors will also hear from a current CLS Alumni Ambassador and an experienced CLS advisor as well as meet fellow advisors across institutions. Please register in advance.

All advisors are welcome to attend these webinars. Given the addition of CLS Spark to our program offerings, even seasoned advisors could benefit from the new advisor webinar. Recordings will also be made available to those unable to attend live.

We look forward to collaborating with you in the months ahead and hope to see you in August!

Sincerely,
Caitlin Ting
