We are pleased to announce that round one notifications for the CLS overseas Program have been sent.

It’s been a busy day for the CLS Program. Today marks our first day back in the office in DC since 2020 – and it is notification day!

We are pleased to share that the advisor portal has been corrected and notifications have been sent to all applicants (overseas and CLS Spark!) to let them know the status of their applications. Semi-finalists for the overseas program can expect to hear from us again in early March; applicants for CLS Spark can expect to hear from us around mid-March.

You can now log in to see the selection status for applicants at your institution in our advisor portal located at: https://ais.americancouncils.org/start

A note about our terminology:

  • Students who appear as “In Evaluation” are semi-finalists. Congratulations! This status applies to both overseas and Spark applicants.
  • Students who appear as “Not selected” have not advanced to the second round. This status is only for overseas applicants. Spark applicants are only reviewed in one round, which is currently ongoing.

If you need to reset your password, please use the email address associated with your account and not your username. If you have difficulties accessing the advisor portal, please let us know.

As a reminder, notifications were sent to the primary email address listed on each student’s application. If you have students who are waiting to hear back, please encourage them to check their spam filters and to wait 24 hours before reaching out to us with questions. Student emails can be directed to cls@americancouncils.org

Thank you again for all your assistance in supporting students with their applications.

Sincerely,

Caitlin Ting
